It's that time of the year again! Growing up, my family and I would make these gourmet caramel apples and occasionally take them to family and friends. It was such a fun tradition. My favorite combination is white chocolate with nerd candy... Don't knock it until you try it!!

I hope you and your family have fun making them too!

Other options

Wilton candy melts also work for the chocolate drizzle.

2

Thinning out the Chocolate Drizzle

If your melted chocolate is a little thick always use oil to thin it out. Never use milk or water as this will make the chocolate clump. Instead use a little Crisco, canola oil, or coconut oil to stir in and thin out your chocolate. Thinner chocolate will drizzle easier.

Pro tip

Use a white chocolate drizzle AND a chocolate drizzle to make your caramel apples look more fancy!

Melt chocolate almond bark in the microwave at 30 second intervals in a glass bowl until it's melted. Stir each time so it doesn't burn.
